Finally it is available for pre-order :)

CD Alone:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec....3492413
(Ranked 5886)

Box Set:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec....3492413
(Ranked 663 - quite high already!;)

So get those credit/switch/solo cards out now!

One problem however...
They've listed it as "Tubular Bells Vol.4"!

I feel an email to Amazon is required, it quite clearly says on the CD the correct title, I'm sure MO doesn't want people to think it's vol 4!

It's got a link to one called "Tubular Bells 2003". It's TB2003 standalone with the bonus DVD. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec....0601463

Yes, don't make the mistake (as I did), the vol.4 doesn't include the DVD, for the same price ! So why bother ?

Fortunately, you can cancel and reorder on amazon :)

I just realise now that I made my order that only THREE tracks are mixed in 5.1 on the DVD ?!? Why that ? I thought he was going to mix the whole stuff in 5.1 ?!?

I think the DVD is just meant to be a bonus sampler with 3 excerpts and the opening theme video. The full 5.1 DVD will be released at a later date. So you can buy Tubular Bells yet again. (Or am I just being too cynical?). :O

Well they seem to have updated it now, there are 3 products (with rankings):

133 - Tubular Bells 2003 + Bonus DVD (with the 5.1 mix)
163 - Tubular Bells 2003 [Box Set] (TB 1, 2, 3, 2003 and DVD)
6110 - Tubular Bells 2003 (Just the cd)

It seems that  most people are fans and what the extra stuff, or people rediscovering his music and want to catch up :)

you can also preorder it from the USA here: IMPORT

but it's an import from the UK. which means that it won't be released in the USA. hmmm...i thought it waws gonna be world wide release? guess that just means you can order it from anywhere in the world....but it comes from UK. and for $26.99 plus shipping and tax? good God!

OH! i also noticed that on the AMAZON.CO.UK site, the TB2003 + DVD set is ranked #100 already (out of like everysingle CD they have available). not bad. the CD itself is like #600 or so. so its doing pretty good already, and it hasn't even been released yet! i guess that's good news!
