Oh yes, the Mellotron is one of my favourite instruments although it's a bit difficult to play because there's a constant 'rumbling' under the keys...  :) I read more than once that Mike Oldfield was the owner of the "Strawberry Fields Forever" Mellotron Mk. II for 13 years but then sold it to Paul McCartney. Strange that he (Mike) never made use of it...

Of course I know the Moody Blues but I must admit that they're not exactly my cup of tea...  :/
