Didn't Mike mention a Robinson or something? And club remixes?

This is the drummer that Mike said he recorded over a Skype session:

http://www.johnjrrobinson.com/

You'll recognise a lot of his work!

I'm excited by Mike doing this, may see the return of professional musicians to his tracks rather than software versions.

4 years since his last album - That's the longest break we've had from Mike.

Still, Guitars and TMB were in the same year, so these things average out...

Hey Oldfield's fans!

here is a todays interview with Mike from BBC Radio. Quality quite good, but MONO - sorry for that, I didn't have stereo wire to record two chanels. Cheers.

He seemed to suggest to me anyway.. The way he was talking that he had sort of investigated the Idea... But he wasn't jumping up and down saying yes thats the Next Project....

MM Concert next year....  Now whats on Next Year in the UK and is "Huge"  Wonder if the 2012 Olympics will be Hosting some Big Rock Concerts in London around that time ..

Nice interview and it sounds promising that he's working away again. I thought Mike had sold most of his guitars including his Telecaster? Maybe he bought an even nicer one to replace it.

Also nice to hear he's working with other musicians, including a drummer. Personally I'd love to see him work with a certain other drummer who does a rather spectacular drum solo about halfway through this clip...

I would have been more excited if he'd have worked with a "modern" violin player.
