French/German culture channel Arte featured an interview with Mike a few weeks ago. You can now watch it online in French or in German.

Merci beaucoup, TubularTos

He says how with many great works of the past, the premiere concerts were a disaster. He gives the example of Beethoven (from what I can pick out from under the German translation, he mentions his Choral Symphony - no.9 - but it's not translated) and how people thought his music was terrible at the time it was premiered. So part of Mike was hoping for a disaster that night, as a sign that Music of the Spheres is up there with Beethoven's 9th and all the other works which have been hated at their premiere performances.

Wow! That laugh is otherworldly :-) What was it in response to? Sounds like Jake or Eugene making some kind of (otherworldly) noise

:D As Korgscrew said , that laugh was in response of what Mike was hoping that the premiere in Bilbao would be a disaster and he was hoping to be hated like Beethoven . Surely someone behind him didn't like this idea for the premiere :D

This video is a stream version, which means that you can only view it via a browser. If you want to download the source you need to locate the source... that was my question.

As for Youtube: that's something new for me. I understand you need special software to download a youtube video. You just can't right click in your browser and download the video... you will get the Adobe Flash media source.

If you go to this website (link below) it pastes in the embedded you tube link for you and you can download it from there.Just follow the instructions on the page. You`ll need a flash player to play the video, but there`s loads of free ones available online.Or you could then convert the flash file itself to wmv/mpeg using software like video converter etc.

Keep Vid
