Please can someone check itunes and the vinyl and check if the Track 4 - 12:36 & 12:38 double skip is on all formats.

There's certainly something odd sounding at this point in the track.  Bummer.  :-(

On the plus side, I'm really digging disc 2.

But that fault on disc 1....am I going to have to send it back and hope they fix the mistake on a later pressing....?

Yep, here too  :(

A pity too, as the remaster is very good otherwise. Nice dynamics and seperation, but this is unforgivable along with the balls-up with the Ommadawn DVD ..

Wow! Are you guys actually saying it skips like a scratched record would? If so that has to be unprecedented.

That's exactly what it sounds like. And unless I'm mistaken I heard a click just before Maddy Prior starts singing on Part 4.

As reported earlier the sleeve notes don't shed any light on the previously unknown tracks.

Is there really no info at all regarding disc 2?

Well that's absolutely shocking. Though I would usually wait till I've heard it myself before rearking, that's very unproffessional. Does Mercury realize? Surely this means recalling the faulty product and re-pressing with the mistake rectified?!

Wow. What a bummer. Hope it's a bad pressing, but I think we will all have this fault if something went wrong to the export masters from Mike. Hmmmm.... looks like we all have to sent them back.

iTunes tracks up.

Hiawatha still sound bad ....

iTunes - Incantations Deluxe

Funny.... that's the Italian iTunes store with the Deluxe edition. Here in the Dutch iTunes store only the "basic" version is being sold at this point.

*** Spoilers below ****

I was just about convinced that the Diana tracks were early mixes when lo and behold Stephen Hawking makes an appearance - added in the 2011 mix perhaps ?
I see piano Improvisation is an early demo for what became Part 2 of the Platinum suite  :)
The Northumbrian track has more an an Ommadawn vibe to it, I can't hear any quotes from other albums on it.

Mine has arrived - playing now. No plastic 'Deluxe' cover this time, just a sticker that you have to pull off to get into the discs!

Mine also arrived in the post today.

How easy is it to remove the sticker? It's just that I'm concerned about tearing the cardboard sleeve underneath.

What means that ? What has Stephen Hawking to to with it ?

It's easy enough if it's done slowly. I'd remove it too - it's really unsightly.

I have no idea, but his voice (or someone very similar) appears about 3 minutes into Diana Desiderata.

Yeah - I must admit that I was really enjoying listening to it, but that 'skip' or whatever it is does spoil it a bit. The remixes are really good too - I didn't think I'd like the piano one from the extract, but hearing it whole, it's great! Sleeve notes very good and DVD good. Would have been nice if they had been consistent and provided the plastic deluxe sleeve, but that's a minor niggle.
If not for the 'skip', then I would have been delighted with this.
