Never heard In the Pool before!

It's the 1984 B-side of "To France." I like the rhythm and bass line - it reminds me of an underlying riff in - Come What May, and it trails off in a similar way. They may have got it from Mike.

The Amarok sound of pouring water must originate from here .

It should have been on Discovery instead of Saved by a Bell. It would have been the icing on the (already delicious) cake.

In the Pool was very cool. It was like Jungle Gardenia. Both similar in construct. Don't ask my why one song is chosen/one excluded from an album. "Saved by a Bell" sucked. Was it Simon the drummer who sang that(along with Discovery)? If so, they prob. chose Bell to promote his singing ability.

PS: OK it was Barry Palmer(I looked it up). All this time I thought the drummer sang too. Oh well. Kinda trivial in 2010. Funny story, I had a freind in the mid-80's who was very into the heavy metal genre opening up.  This was a guy who would raise his fist held HIGH, and say "OZZY!" Like a salute. I said "hey" in 1984. You might like this song Discovery. Dude sounds kinda like Ozzy. I played it for him, he said "It sounds so Clean, like elevator music". Well F him. I love that track and never saw him since '85. Bye Tubes....
