I always thought that "In dulci jubilo" from elements compilation as the original and only versoin. but some time ago i heard and download from net "In dulci jubili (for maureen) which sounds different that standard version. It starts calmly, later the awesome guitar solo is vanishing strangely...
anybody knows something about which version was the first???
is the "In dulci.." from elements the new mix???

In Dulci Jubilo (for Maureen) was the first version, recorded in memory of Mike's mother (Maureen) after she died in late 1974. It was the B-Side to Don Alfonso. The other, more common, version was recorded a year later, at around the time of Ommadawn, and was released together with On Horseback as the B-side (though it was also released along with other things in certain places).
