The only thing I wanna say is I LOVE indeed this for-hummmm......

It gives me so much freedom for expressing myself about Mike´s music, joking and some crazy things... (you know me wink).

I invite you all for using this topic only to say positive things over anything related to Mike and this forum ¡ smile!

God bless Olivier and these forums
I'm registered since 12-1999 (gosh, time passes...)
And, since this day, this was the best way to do a lot of thing :
- to meet (virtually) some wonderful people, from EVERYWHERE, some now called friends
- to talk, to exchange point of view and to express myself about my fav composer and so much other subjects
- to discover and to find some rare tracks
- to find this vinyl quad 'Boxed' at eil.com
- to get in those MO communities, as this present one or the french tubular mailing list and to feel like I was at home wink
- and hmmm... to be so often late for my job wink

Cheers, respect to all and thanks again !

The site is good, I've found out a lot of stuff, esp. for my Mike biog. (http://www.chirho.i12.com/ - get there NOW!)

Also, some of the MIDIs are well done, and the fora* have provided somewhere to let stuff out.

* BTW The correct plural of FORUM is FORA - I was corrected on this point addressing Councillors on the subject of Youth Fora

Does it sound like a car that would be too expensive for a new driver like me to insure (yeah right, name one that isn't), or one that would attract more laughs than a Lada?

My word, doesn't time fly?

One year ago, I decided to register for these fora. And I haven't regretted it at all (except maybe on one occasion very early on). Over the past 365 days and 350-odd (or very odd, depending on your viewpoint wink), I've:

  • started a singalong of Dire Straits' Private Investigations in a topic supposedly about the MVR Demo
  • posted countless (well, only because I can't be bothered seeing how many there were) bad jokes
  • had some success in a topic with a Related Artists Quiz
  • almost left after over-reacting to responses in my "A Future Project" topic
  • done more that doesn't need mentioning here (including celebrating my 16th birthday yesterday biggrin)

and all without making anyone too mad with me smile.

I'd just like to thank everyone on the fora, and especially Olivier for providing this service, for the always interesting, (nearly) always different discussions that make this a valuable Oldfield resource.

Thanks a lot!

I don't remember threatening anything of the sort :D

We don't ban people generally...only if the hitman misses.

Oh yes, this forum is much appreciated. Where else could I express my love of MO-music? Well, yes, I could do it here - in real life - but I'd get a lot of "Who??"s. A number of members have helped me to discover rare bits of MO goodness I wouldn't have found on my own. Often, just reading thoughts from other fans can really brighten my day. Of course, all the news items and info available from the Tubular.net main site are great, too. So, I am very very glad that, a little over a year ago, some fortuitous clicking led me here.

I'd have to agree. It's not exactly 'usual' (whatever that means) to be into MO over this side of the pond either so it's so cool to meet loads of other Tublerians and Amarokians!
I've been here since January and i've learnt so much stuff and re-assesed a lot of Mike's music.Long may it last!

How nice to have you here in the US, Ray, however briefly. It's got to be good for our MO-mojo level! I'm afraid Washington is rather more than a hop, skip, and a jump away. I've never been to Texas - the farthest I've got to was Las Vegas. I hope you got to squeeze in some fun between the meetings.
