Being off for spring break I'm bored. I found this to remember Phil Collins at his best. So sad about his nerve damage. He inflicted it by doing what he loved and did better than anyone else, Bruford, Powell, Palmer, Baker....Phil was better. I'm impressed he chose to reboot one of my fav. Byrds songs "goin' Back". Bye Phil. Why do I get the feeling he might not be done yet?

I love the Berlin concert he did for the serious hits live tour.

Comes out on stage looking rather Dapper ,Drums the best version of Hand in Hand i've heard and then preens himself in the mirror.... classic.

Yeah, it's too bad about Phil... his drum work on the early Genesis stuff is amongst my favorite in prog.

I get the feeling that his heart hasn't really been in music for a while, though.

Like Mike,he has two younger boys who wanna a daddy but in Phil's case,it's also his health problems.

Phil saved my life from the musical boredom of children's tunes 22 years ago,and this tune has made the whole difference:

I'll miss this English bloke from Chiswick that made suit + tie + white Converse cool and played drums like a few people in this planet!

Like Jim above, I've got the feeling that there may still be a couple of new songs from him, if not a new album, coming out - maybe with no live drums at all, just drum machines (he amply proved he can do wonderful things with them). After all, he didn't say that he can't sing anymore - he said that he can't play drums anymore. The real shame about that is that Genesis are over.

What did they call that album in the end...?:)

So much Genesis yet to track down.  I find individual songs all the time but it doesn't yet feel right to explore whole albums via uploading sites.  But this, for a certain lady and myself, is our tune.  Alas, we were just colleagues and this was one of the tunes on a mix-tape that kept us sane.
