Just wondering if Mike is alright, hurricane wise...

Yes, I was wondering the same thing, and a bit surprised there were no comments. Presumably nobody knows anything.

I was wondering about Mike too. No news at all about him has been released, which is odd. Richard Branson and his Necker Island took it really bad though!!

Does Mike stay just outside Nassau? I think the worst of the hurricane past it by thankfully.

He seems to have gone quiet again on Facebook but I don't hugely keep up to date on all the Facebook groups. Is there not about 3 or 4 of them now? I don't even know how many I'm a member of.

I had a look at the news reports last night. It wasn't clear, but it looked like Mike's area was spared the worst of it - assuming I'm right that he's in Antigua somewhere?

He lives on New Providence in the Bahamas,  just outside Nassau.
I gather that the hurricane passed to the south of the archipelago and didn't cause much damage there.

Thanks for that. It's good to hear something more definite.

Good, too, of course, to know some areas were less heavily affected, quite apart from Mike's presence there. It's been bad for so many people in that part of the world.

Sadly, it looks as though things are not improving...
I sincerely hope that things get better soon for the people in that part of the world.

Maybe it's time for Mike to move again, he usually gets restless after a number of years in the same place.

Didn't Mike say in a recent interview that he's just taken full citizenship of the Bahamas? Sounds like he's finally found somewhere he wants to stay for good.

With all thats happening in Europe and around the world I think I'd stay there if I was him, even with the hurricanes.  ;)

oh poor people... so glad hurricane's aren't reaching my location... i'm an anxious person who always searches for rx coupons because i need so many meds that i don't have money for them. but if would know that there's a risk of hurricane in my location then i would completely lose my mind! all the support to people who had to endure the hurricane's angriness.

I see the news about Mike these days is very scarce. I wonder why he's gone under the radar? He used to be very active on Facebook (he was the only reason why I used Facebook actually). Is ti only because he's grown tired of social media?

I haven't seen him post on FB since that check-in at the Nasau Hospital, which was soon deleted. I wonder if anyone got any info on that?

He 'liked' a post the other day on Facebook from the TB for Two guys so he's still around. If he's got other things going on in his life and no news to share then I wouldn't expect to hear much from him.

The problem for someone in Mike's position as far as social media is concerned is that once you start using it and engaging with it people expect you to keep it going. I think anyone who has followed Mike's career long enough will tell you his enthusiasm for things comes and goes with the tide. As it does for most of us I guess.

Hurricane Dorian is battering The Bahamas, I hope Mike is ok, I am not sure if his house is in the path of this hurricane.

I'd be very surprised if even his internet connection was down.

I've always hated this song - maybe it will have an influence on the hurricane  :O
