Haven't commented in a while but I got my Hegrest Ridge Deluxe set on the 22nd, after being told to wait, told of cancellation, than not being told anything when the order came.

:O Hey, what is this now, guys? Are the parcels still coming in?  Anyway, congratulations to France! ;)
Let's wait and see what our not-so-royal Bavarian mail services have in stock...
Nonetheless, I have sent a complaint to Universal about all this...  I will probably get the same standardized friendly bullshit mails just like anybody else

I was becoming a tad concerned there,Anaon.Thought your Limited Edition Number might have been unreadable. As opposed to Mike's magnificent-moniker.

Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show,
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

I hardly know what to say, since this took me quite by surprise.  But my Ommadawn and Hergest Ridge limited editions ARRIVED today!

The packaging was appalling.  I have no idea what I paid 34 pounds shipping for.  They need to contact Amazon.co.uk about how to ship properly and at a reasonable cost.  The two cardboard boxes inside the large M-bag from Swiss Post had obviously withstood quite a bit of rough handling, but it appears the contents were undamaged.  It also appears this was shipped on July 15, which is quite awhile after they claimed it had been shipped in late June.

But they are here, and just when I was trying to figure out what options I was going to have, I am happy to finally have them here:

Hergest Ridge: 036 of 250
Ommadawn: 159 of 250

He has written: "Germany, sent on June 24th"

So I think he lives in Germany and the parcel was posted on the 24th of June...

:D  :D  I still can't believe it - my boxes have finally arrived
#168 hergest ridge
#045 ommadawn
delivered by dpd (German parcel service); no information about the date when it was sent...
The cardboxes are in a very very poor condition - for this tremendously slow and poor shipping they truly ripped us off!  :(
But what a surprise - no damage at all!

Received my Hergest Ridge Signed Deluxe edition today and was totally horrified with the condition of the packaging! The frame has one corner totally split apart and there are dents on the side of it. The box was beat up and had just a handful of shipping peanuts inside. It took 35 "working days" to receive it here in the USA, and I'm quite upset over the rediculously high shipping charges. I contacted Universal Music a week ago and they've issued me a refund on my credit card, but because I was honest to tell them the package finally arrived, I now have to pay for it with PayPal. I sent them photos of the damage and am waiting to hear back. Because my signed edition (horribly - shame on you Mike Oldfield!;) is 77 of 250, I wouldn't dare part with it. The same fiasco as the TB signed box set all over again! I'll never buy another product from Universal as they obviously don't know how to properly ship such limited items!!!!
Sorry to whine but I'm tired of paying big money for things that arrive in such poor condition!

When the next Limited Edition or whatever is released every one of  you, "I'll never buy another thing from Uni. ever again!" will not be able to hit the pre-order button fast enough.Markmiwords.
