I am not talking about the Pizza joke, but about the HR day in Herefordshire and the Ultimate edition.

Is it a joke too?

Let me know if I am still a silly fan....please...

:D

It is all of a joke.

I'm reminded a bit of Woody in the film Toy Story ;)

*IT* *WAS* *A* *JOKE*

As the hergestridge2010 website now states on its front page: "This site was just a bit of April Fools' Day fun. Hergest Ridge will be re-released in May, but the rest of the information here - from the Ultimate Edition through to the Hergest Ridge Pizza - is pure fantasy. This site is totally unconnected with Mercury Records, Pizza Hut or any other organisation other than tubular.net! "

The whole hergestridge2010 website was an April fools joke. We are not aware of any ultimate editions of anything, model gliders included or not!

And yes, May does seem to be turning into June...

Although we could organise a trip up to the ridge.I still haven't been which is pretty disgraceful really. And we could all take model gliders as well.

Since certain people have been composing songs on here i have a title for one (maybe only UK members of a certain age will get this one)

You know the song then!Wasn't Maddy though.Fiddler's Dram were the band and the sibger was Cathy Lesurf.Sounds just like Maddy if you ask me though.
Oddly though she did a spell in the Albion band according to Wikepedia.

Cathy Lesurf ?!? What a peculiar name... :D The English language's flexibility and capability for puns is something that never ceases to amaze me... just like Elvis commenting, in his own way, about screaming girls putting away in their purses some tissue pieces (lint pieces?) that he removed from his sweaty face, during his '68 TV special. :) @ Caveman: did that girl singer enjoy riding boards over the waves in the Pacific Ocean? :D

It is a rather silly sounding name.Had she been in a surf music band i would have been sure it was an assumed name but in a folk band? Can't really think of a suitable made up name for a folky girl singer. Can anyone else?

@ Caveman: if she played guitar, she could be something like Picky (or Pickie) Strummer... a kind-of relative of Joe Strummer. :D  He played guitar, didn't he? :)

Lol.That's a good one!

I think Joe Strummer did something more akin to hammering a guitar more than playing it!

Bonjour à tous.
I just noticed that though I could order the HR Deluxe edition from play.com (cheapest I found when ordering from France), they don't offer the Ommadawn equivalent (yet?), and nor do several other sites either (and for once Amazon UK is a bit too expensive, though I guess they'll cut it down in the weeks to come); would anyone have an idea about why it is so?
Cheers from France.

In case anyone doesn't know, you can now preorder the Hergest Ridge & Ommadawn reissues on the American Amazon as well. Links:

Hergest Ridge

Ommadawn

For whatever reason, there's practically no artwork or description.
