With any luck, we might be able to get full confirmation from Universal in the next week or so (though no promises...). We were told something off the record about the artwork, but haven't heard anything about the audio content lately.

What was that about the artwork? Are they going to alter it significantly?
At any rate it can't be worse than the old CD releases.

As far as I can tell from earlier projects, the people involved (especially Phil Smee) will restore the original artwork.

:p

I think the deluxe edition of these albums will be made on the model of Tubular Bells, with 2 CDs and a DVD featuring a 5.1 mix.
Regarding Lost Ommadawn, Mike has already said that it had recorded more material than it appears on the album, this music was not distributed and part used in the film Reflections, so I hope this mysterious piece is a compilation of these unused sections.
In any case, these releases are very exciting !  ;)

He kindly answered he is not involved in these new projects, but Phil is, so we can expect high design level.

And what about this ultimate edition for HR,at Amazon UK seems that it's only the Deluxe version that is avaiable at the moment for pre-order....bit confused here.

Someone should tell Universal that it is stupid to have lost www.mikeoldfield.com; you have a bunch of cds of Tubular Bells 2009 that point to www.mikeoldfield.com/bonus to get additional info.

And they should change the link from the home page of Mercury Records, that is still pointing to the lost domain.  :(

Oh dear. Is this the best they can do - change the address of the tb2009 site?

I'm sure I could make a better job of the design and I'm only in the process of learning how to use Dreamweaver and XHTML!

Perhaps they're going to completely revamp the content? Something radical needs to be done with it anyhow, it's all out of date as well as being crappy looking  :/

@ Lars: if you or anyone else are interested in hearing a de-crackled, high-quality version of the Ommadawn 7'', just tell me. :)

Obviously Universal couldn't keep a hold of mikeoldfield.com and have settled with mikeoldfieldofficial.com

Also, the 'old' mikeoldfield.com has appeared on http://www.u-myxmikeoldfield.com - also owned by Universal
