Thanks Syd
More than a few great ideas there I love the 2:02 ghosting the guitar bit just brilliant.
Ugo and yourself had quite a few similar points.
Just shows great minds think alike :)
Thanks Mate

As far as music goes crazy ideas are the jam in my jelly (drum) roll
Ok so last night we went out for dinner and i got me a snoot full.

Thats probably an understatement but anyway later me gets on the kit and has a go at the ending for the fist time .

Syd ,Ugo and Coops (and anybody else) I just put this on to give you a laugh and this is not an indication of the finished product.

I really should call it the "Nick Mason at Pompeii look on my face Mix"  and stay off the Red Vino any way here it is in all its drunken over played of-timed glory.HR 2010 Part 2 Drunk Mix
Sorry :D

@ milamber: up to the thunderstorm part it was absolutely perfect - that section of HR is the best one to put on drums as, by itself, it's almost heavy metal [a heavy metal bit during a mostly pastoral work? Yes, that's what Mike O. can do!! :D], so heavy rock drumming is spot-on for that bit (you should do the whole thunderstorm, from start to end). You lost yourself a bit during the quieter section immediately following the thunderstorm (maybe you should do only hi-hat and percussion there), then from 2:00 to the end it's perfect again. I definitely look forward to hearing more! :)

P.S. Your current signature is, IMHO, the best movie quote ever. Would you please use the whole of it, including "Time to die" ? ;)

Hahahahahahahaha... that's great!

Blast beats on Hergest Ridge! (Almost, anyway, not sure if those count as blast beats).

@ milamber - you got the ending of the Blade Runner quote wrong, this time. It's "...tears in rain". Also the accompanying Vangelis piece has this title. It was correct before, then you altered it when you added "Time to die"... :)

Ok so its not the Thunderstorm ( I start that tomorrow ) sorry.
But what I have finished is the first 5.30 mins .
Ugo I found it hard to find a decent rim shot so a fade in will have to do, and it needs a few more cymbals and such.

Thats the hard bit out of the way now the fun begins.

HR Pt2 Progressive Mix  edit

Let me know what you guys think, I'm hoping to finish it this weekend and then get to work on extending the Ommadawn ending . :)

@ milamber... some comments on your latest offering.

1. I don't really understand what's going on from 2:03 to 2:11. It sounds messy.

2. From 2:36 onwards, the drums (or percussion, or whatever) need to be a little louder, otherwise there's no point in putting drums on that bit.

3. The rest is perfect as usual.

I'm looking forward to hearing the whole thing. By the way, why don't you attempt a bit of Part 1 as well? As Mike omitted the snares from the mixes (both in the 2010 remix and in the CD version of the original mix, which isn't the original 1974 mix, as Mike re-touched it as well!! :O), I think there are ample opportunities for drumming in Part 1 as well. :)
