I like it   .

Great photo,   was that photo taken from the south looking north towards The Ridge??  I took some pics of The Ridge from Bradnor Hill last year, I put  the best pics here on TubularBoard, see "Hergest Ridge Visit " topic.

Sorry not sure how to link to another Tubularboard  page.

I'd love to live in Herefordshire, a most beautiful area :D.

If I remember rightly...

Thats over the border in Wales looking SE towards the ridge...near New Radnor...I had to climb over a fence into a farmers field,I wanted a pic of the whole ridge and thats about the only place where you can see the whole thing.....was about 2 miles aprox from it.......

Spooky how the ridge and line of trees at bottom looks a bit like the crashing waves (well if you stand side on and squint from a distance it does )

.....there wasnt really a bent tubular bell in the sky that day .....I added that bit :p )

No sheep were hurt in the taking of the photograph.

Hi Bleat here's alink to my Hergest Ridge pics at my webpage.

Next time I visit Kington I'll maybe have to explore some more,  it's  just that my friend wasn't up to more walking  as she'd ben ill afew months previous.

We did try and find "Water Breaks It's Neck" , did borrow an OS "Explorer" map from my local library, but it wasn't shown on there.    I know  it's just off the A44 near New Radnor, but could we find it,no.  I've since bought an OS "Landranger" map that covers Kington area ( strange that, maybe I feel as if I'll be going back there, "The Call of Hergest Ridge :D ")it's shown on this map.

I'd like to find The Whetstone, spent hours trying to find it.  Hope one day to walk The Ridge from Kington to Gladestry and if I'm feeling energetic enough back to Kington.
.  Despite all the eating out my weight stayed the same,  would've lost had I not pigged out on chocolate, when I got back to polluted Bedfordshire    :( .

One day moonchildhippy, you'll be living in Herefordshire.
