I'm gonna wait until thursday to do the distorted guitars parts because that's when I'll be getting my brand new and quite amazing Boss/Roland GT-6 Guitar Multi-Effects PROCESSOR. I'm done with pedals! Let's move on to the BIG STUFF!!

So yes anyway, I want the quality to be as good as I can get it and I don't like the quality of the distortion on my current Zoom 505II right now.

Mail Korgscrew mate :) for the mandolin...and about the double speed guitar...hmm I could take it if someone will tell me which part of the midi file it is...

there are only finale guitars, acoustic guitar, spanish guitar...

Booster, if you're going to do double speed guitar, I suggest getting some guitar sample and speeding it up or something since this is going to be a authentic cover.

If you give me a few weeks, I can do the mandolin...and what the heck, I'll do a (real) double speed guitar as well if you want.

I'll hold off volunteering for anything else, especially as you have an MC already...

Rite on....that would take care of everything...except...

What about the strings and stuff and overall backing of the song. It would sound quite plain without something like strings or an organ like on the original or something to back it up. Any keyboardists or organists here willing?

Dammit, I didn't think all you people would be so fast with it  :p
So I guess I'd better get going some time soon-ish...

PS.: And do you want the sound to resemble the 'original' or the TB2003 R&PO?  :D

From what I understand of it, pretty much a high quality copy of the original. So, like TB2003 I guess. Though we'd be playing everything in our own way, I suppose.

If people are very nice to me, I might be persuaded to edit/mix the whole thing and add associated fairy dust at the same time...

I haven't got any of the right equipment to record what I play, but... have you already found a pianist/keyboardist? :)

Ancient said in a month or so he'd be able to do the piano parts. I don't know if he meant just the solo or everything...but whatever...

Oh BTW I just gotta say this, isn't Korgscrew the nicest most sophisticated gentleman on this forums?? What a great guy he is. Always there with the answers regarding MO-oriented questions. Always providing that bit of essential informative criticism to help a fan cover artist's skill be improved. And boy such a great MIXER AND EDITER too ;)! wink wink nudge nudge say no more...

I've printed out a piano score from the midi file, and it seems there's no difference between the solo and the rest of the track, just some very small details. So if I do the solo I can do the other parts as well.

But it would be very arrogant of me to keep you from doing my part if you can do this things sooner than a month. All these guys work so fast, and I don't want to be a pain in the ass. So I'm leaving the decision to you, Ugo.

Ancient: As I said, I don't have the equipment to record properly, so just go ahead. I'll leave the final decision up to Crises, anyway... it's his idea. :)

I suppose we could work out a way that everyone gets a go at doing whatever they want.
