Hello everybody

It's great to find such a comprehensive forum on Mike Oldfield.

I'm here to ask you for a search. I'm looking for a Mike song that I used to listen to when I was young.

I was listening to it around 1990. It was an instrumental only song and I believe it was just keyboards and guitar. It shouldn't last more than three minutes and was really really fast and sounded almost like metal. It started with three keyboard notes, then after about a minute there was a really big guitar riff.

That's all I have, and believe me, I've already searched a lot.

Thank in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum, it could be a track from Earth Moving, which was released in 1989 it could be either Hostage or See The Light? Mike doesn't have that really heavy sound, Five Miles Out is another suggestion.

Hi and thank for your answer. These song are with lyrics and the one I am looking for is only instrumental. I think it is a little bit older.

Hi Doc,

There's not one song, as far as I know, that suits your description, but a suggestion might be:
- Jungle Gardenia, or
- Taurus 3 (That has got a heavy bit, although not in a rock way)
- In the Pool (starting with keyboard riff and some distorted guitar later on).

Maybe it's one of those 3?

Greetings,

Stefan

Sorry, I misread the question. That piece is from the album Hergest Ridge.
