I've played Tr3s Lunas for a while, and I've always thought about a sort of psichoanalitic view of the game.
For example, the mantis-on-a-table, a mantis is a symbol of "preying" on others, and the table means social relations. Maybe it could be related to what happens in the canyon, i.e., good ring, bad ring?

Anyway, I think it would be possible, maybe we can find something new...

Isn't the daliphant also a symbol of fertility?

--------------
Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.

This thread could either become intensely intellectual or wildly comic. I'll sit on the sidelines until I find out which!

Or it could just die.

Well, Dalí is a surrealist painter. Most things that appear in his paintings, from ants, to Saints, to burning giraffes, to daliphants, to melting clocks have a Freudian basis.

Hope it doesn't die, anyway  :p

Well, given that the daliphants are (technically) inaccessible, that would mean fertility is inaccessible...

Oh yes, the prickly cactus in the latest vid.

And you're not allowed to stay in the Indian village too long - in case of rocking wigwams after dark??

Looks as though we're going down the wildly comic path...

Wow, all of the Dali pictures I've seen in art books haven't been nearly as nice as that.

Looking at that picture gave me the thought,it's a wonder Mike doesn't re do Tres Lunas with today's technology.

It could be amazing...I guess that's were Matt wanted to go with his music vr project..pity.

It's called "Archaeological Reminiscence of the Angelus".

It could still happen... I'm very interested in programming and am learning about it (takes a while), and obviously a lot of people can do music, there are a few people who can do graphic design... and actually, with a pre-made game engine, the programming side is reduced dramatically, pretty much to some scripts here and there... I don't see any reason why it couldn't happen...

What's the bet, though, that everyone would prefer the original game?  :D  It happened with TB 2003 (although I actually prefer TB 2003, with the exception of Cleese's contribution).

Well, we could port it to Mac, Linux, Amiga, various mobile platforms and even video game consoles (homebrew development). That would insure its popularity. That's the problem with Tr3s Lunas, it's not platform diverse enough - I have a Mac (that's too old to run an emulator with any speed), and so I can't play it.

EDIT: If we want to talk about this any more, we should probably take it to Matt's thread. Don't want to ruin this one. :D
