I picture a "monk music" drum loop with lush synthesizer backgrounds with the melody first played by a synth going "ooooh ooooh ooooh", and later doubled by his trademark whiny guitar. I know FOTF is often used as one  of the  pieces  of music when our fallen soldiers , (Scottish Regiments??) are repatriated from Afghanistan to the UK.  (However I feel not one more  British soldier's life should be wasted in that utterly and pointless war, what is going on in Afghanistan poses no threat to national security). Getting politcical aside, I think FOTF is a beautiful song, but makes me cry if I hear it as a song played for the repatriation of one of our Fallen Heroes!!!! -------------- I'm going slightly mad, It finally happened, I'm slightly mad , just very slightly mad If you feel a little glum to Hergest Ridge you should come. "I's actually my sister singing on Flowers Of The Forest. I asked her to imagine...you know on front of ships they have a figure head.. I asked her to imagine she was one of these things and was out in the sea and she was singing like a celtic warrior goddess" And it's so obviously... why haven't I noticed it before !!! Back to top
