Well, finally caught up with this one, and of course had to post another poll.  In Dulci for me, also like Portsmouth and Argiers.

First Excursion is interesting (from that odd documentary?) but Bedford is not my thing (though some of Mike's guitar playing is interesting).

EDIT - APOLOGY - SHOULD BE IN BOXED - CAN AN ADMIN PERSON MOVE IT PLEASE??

Oh - and as for "Speak" - would have been better if they did it drunk  :D

Toss-up between Phaeacian Games, Star's End and First Excursion for me; really can't decide, they're all marvellous. All the other ones are nice, too, of course - I even like Speak...

First Excursion for me.Probably my favourite piece of music from all of Mike`s albums put together. The Rio Grande is also pretty high on my favourites list though,as is Argiers. It`s a great album, deserving of a single release of it`s own imo.

I voted for Phacean Games (and you all thought i'd go for First Excursion-not in this context...).This is such a joyfull peice that it makes me smile everytime i hear it!And Mike's solo matches the mood so perfectly.Don't really know what it is about it but it soars with a freedom that's maybe missing in his own work.

Phae, no wait - Fayziun, thingy - the one with the looong guitars.....  :p

Toss up between that and First Excursion. I love Rio Grande but after a few consecutive plays those cute kids can grate.

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

Yeah but the solo at the end makes it so worth it (almost).

I almost cast my vote for Speak, but ended up deciding on the Rio Grande.

Also, Portsmouth hasn't been getting enough love.  Who doesn't love upbeat jolly roger-style music?  I love me some upbeat jolly-roger style music.

I don't like any of the things he did with Bedford - I don't like Bedford's writing. So my vote goes to "In Dulci Jubilo" because Les Penning's playing on that tune is excellent. However, "Speak" makes me laugh every single time I hear it, so it's a bit of a tie between those two. :)
