It's interesting to observe the shared motifs among Mike's different pieces - even when they're on different albums. For example, I've just listened to "Execution"; and towards the end of this there are nervous little musical iambs just like those at the beginning of "Crises". This suggests - as has been remarked elsewhere  ;) - that endings are just beginnings, and that the people in The Killing Fields have, at this stage in the drama, to expect much more of that sort of thing!

I noticed that already back when it was released! Love that synth sound btw.

This track is surely the most dissonant and experimental piece Mike has ever done (or at least released).
