I'd like to know which section was used on the 'Elements' album, is it different to what came out?

There are two "Elements" compelations, both of which were released in 1993. In the short single CD there is the original version of the "Introduction" theme from the original "Tubular Bells 1973" album.

In the 4 cd boxset "Elements" the whole of the original "Tubular Bells 1973" album appears on cd 1.
