When Mike Oldfield plays "Guitars Sounding Like Bagpipes" on Tubular Bells 2003 does he speed it up again with the the tape recorder or is able to get the fast 5th time signature out of his own hand?

I think that the guitar, in that section of TB 2003, goes through various electronic effects (maybe one of them is a harmonizer or something like that). I don't think that the double speed effect is done with tape, but I may be wrong. :) One section of TB 2003 that Mike himself admitted having speeded up is the finale of the Sailor's Hornpipe.

When John Cleese Introduce's the 'double speed guitar', it sounds as if he's confused by it, in which I agree with him there.
