Quote (Ugo @ Oct. 05 2010, 19:03) | @ nightspore: if eeeeeee-aaaaaahhhhhh-oooooooohhhhh is no worse than la-la-la, then Karl Jenkins would only write la-la-las as lyrics for Adiemus. Insead he writes stuff like "Karu karema, karu karema, karu karema rumakara" So there must be a reason why he writes that, and why Philip Glass wrote something which could be eeeeeeee-aaaaaaaaahhhhhh-oooooooooohhhhh, but it may just as well be "We are home". |
Ugo, I wasn't saying that there's no difference between saying "la la" or "da doo ron ron" or whatever - obviously some musicians like the sound of certain made up words more than others - I'm just saying that there's no difference, morally, in doing so. If you go back to Quietman's post, he implies that social transgression is involved in making such sounds as "da doo da da" etc, but I for one am prepared to be lenient.
