The track titles are originally in Finnish and much is lost in translation. The official tranlations make too much sense, they're not obscure enough. I think these are funny, so here goes.

1. Sighted Light = Sussed Travel Lantern
(This one is very hard to translate and makes no sense, but then again, it shouldn't.)

2. Hands Calming the Water = Hands Straighten the Water

3. Mathematical Air Display = Mathematician's Air Display

4. The Consequences of Indecisions = The Consequenses of Head Bending

Part One:
Time Heals All Wounds = Pain Left to Melt

Part two:
Comfort With a Stranger = Twitching Conversation With a Stranger
(What's so comfortable about that?)

5. False Start = False Start of the Shadows

SIC

The album's name is Keesojen Lehto, which in English would be Keesos' Grove. In case you're wondering, Keesos are those creatures on the cover, hanging out in their grove.

The cover.

My copy is called Mike Oldfield-The Consequences of Indecisions. It has a large grain silo or else oil filter with birds flying around it.

I'm pretty sure those two haven't been released again. Rare gems I
believe.

The one with the bird and the silo.

The one with the grey triangle(how artistic!  )

@ Harmono: so Skuggornas Tjuvstart is "False start of the shadows" ? That's how the album was originally called... check this out. ;) All other titles (The Mathematicians' Air Display, Keesojen Lehto, etc.) are subsequent.

@ Scatterplot: is your copy (the one you encoded) a picture disc or not? ;)

I looked on Ebay. They only have the triangle one. It was about 20 dollars.

@ Scatterplot: ah, OK. Whatever it was, you did an amazing de-clicking and "remastering" job. Thanks a lot.
Three vinyls of the album (original Finnish, Japanese and German) are currently on sale @ eil.com - just type "Pekka Pohjola" in the Search box for All Products and click Go. However, they look a bit pricey... at least to me. ;)

HI Ugo!
Skuggornas Tjuvstart is Swedish. Although some Swedish musicians were involved in the project, you must be wrong.

BTW. Did you guys watch hockey tonight. Finland beat Sweden 4 -0! There's a final tomorrrow night Canada - Russia. I'm wasted...

I purchased Acoustica "spin it again" software for the Hergest Ridge Porky cut. Amazing software. By the time I got to "Indecisions", I found ways to make the de-click and noise reduction better with no loss in quality by tweeking the default presets to suit my tastes. I actually used it on a 1962 Barbra Streisand LP, quite horrible sounding, and it came out great! I highly endorse this product.

Yes it is. "False start of the shadows" is actually better than "Shadows' false start". I'll edit that.

@ Harmono: I got that info (about Skuggornas Tjuvstart being Finnish) from eil.com. It says "Rare and original 1977 Finnish-only Love Records label vinyl LP". Check it out for yourself... :)

bah that is swedish press from keesojen lehto...lol what a price.

Keesojen lehto is easy to get as new cd in stores here in finland...original press vinyl is sometimes seen but it cost somewhere between 25-50 euros....
