Yo !

since lot of ppl here can record music, what about making some covers together
Let's have one guy for the synths parts, and another one for the guits tracks. This is quite easy to do, and would bring more fun =)

anyone interested ? i can play electric and acoustic guitar parts.

An idea I quite liked, which I saw on one board, was where somebody would make a backing track available, then everyone there had a go at playing a solo over it, then posted the results.
Of course, being a hangout for guitarists, most of the efforts were failed attempts to show off, rather than anything interesting, but I like the idea (and hopefully people here wouldn't fall into the same trap)...

Should a collaboration of any kind get off the ground, you might just be able to persuade me to add a suitably silly part just to wreck all the hard work ;)

Sounds like an interesting idea. I can do keys, flute and a bit of dilettant bass. Would prefer to do something on the flute, though. I'm currently learning to play Charleston on flute, it just might work!

My guitar playing is at your disposal. Quite an interesting idea! If it's done right and, as Korgscrew talked about before, people don't just go showing off and actually really make something beautiful, it should be very good. I'd be happy to contribute to something like this!

I, for one, am sick of having to make the whole rest of the song before I do the guitar parts! :) Don't get me wrong, I love creating music piece by piece. Making the Tubular Bells intro for instance was very fun in putting it together and deciding what sounded more beautiful which way and then playing it....but my love is for the guitar. And besides, all I have to work with is an MT-200 for anything but guitar....it can be good sometimes, but other times it sounds too MIDI-y :).

I'm not exactly a male version of Maggie Reilly :-), but my voice range is about A2-G4, with falsetto up to about F5.

It could be fun...

We're making a group project already. It's a cover of a section of Crises. Take a look! :)

EDIT: Oops, you have looked at it already. Sorry.

Seemingly not, but who knows! Maybe we get around to "da watcher-n-da towah" part, and there may be some empty slots! :D
