In the link below [to Jim Hawkins morning show on BBC Radio Shropshire; 28 days left to listen at the time of posting], there's an extended interview with Mary Elliott about her incredibly varied career - not least as part of the choir in the Tour of Europe 1979, and you'll soon learn which part!  She appears from 1 hour and 9 minutes in and her experiences of the tour and the live album are covered from about 1:18:00 to 1:22:00.  :)

Interesting - given that the "live" version of the opening "aaah" sounds identical to the studio, I had always assumed that those were recorded vocals and the choir was miming! So maybe not?!
