Carl Palmer (ELP, Asia, Atomic Rooster, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown) talks about the forthcoming tour of his band, Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy, about historical moments of ELP and other artsists.

Also about how he met Mike and how "Mount Teide" was "born".

The interview was uploaded a few days ago.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the interview link, I enjoyed reading that. I always assumed it was Mike that gave the track It's title.

A quote from the interview: "He knocked on the door and he came on"

I think this is a typo for "came in"!

This is not a typo, nightspore. Mike was knocking desperetely on Carl Palmer's door, begging for a colaboration. Carl was pretending that he was absent, because he didn't like at all Mike's music and thought that such a prospect would damage his reputation as a musician. But Mike insisted, saying "Please, please! Open the door and let me in! I know you are inside! I tell you I need to make a song with you!! Please!" Carl's heart broke and he said "Come on, stop crying. I'll open." And then Mike finally, er... came on (and stopped crying).

You must learn to read behind words.

I have to dismiss this as a joke because it's unthinkable that a musician of Carl Palmer's talent could dislike Mike's music!  :D An apt reply might be: "pull the other one, it's got tubular bells on it!"

It would have been so cool if Carl had played on that final Black Sabbath album! I would have bought just on that merit alone. :)

Carl Palmer seems to be such a nice guy BTW. Thanks for posting the interview.
