Does anybody know or have an idea what the "B." refers to in the title of "B. Blues"? May it refer to the fact that it's not a usual blues track? Or is it just because the 'Blues' is one of the themes on Tubular Bells? :) I wonder because it's one of my favourite tracks though blues is not my cup of tea.

The track is meant as a tribute to B.B. King, according to Mike. I can't say I hear that in the music, but at least it explains the name...

Thanks, Korgscrew. :)

It's very surprising to me - though I don't know any of B.B. King's songs, only his name.

What does that extra 'B' stand for then?  :D

I guess he picked it because it sounded good - his real name is Riley B King. He no doubt knew that come the 1970s, the name R.B. King would remind some people too much of a certain other RB ;)

B.B. King was a radio dj of some sort at one point, and "B.B." stood for "Blues Boy." (Was "Blues Boy from Beale St." and then "Blues Boy King" and then finally B.B. King), or so the legend has it...

Cheers Khoa!

I was just joking in my last post. Recalling an episode of the simpsons when Homer decides to do a BBBQ

Lisa: "B.B.B.Q. - The extra B is for B.Y.O.B.B."
Bart:"What does that extra B stand for?"
Homer:"Oh, that's a typo"

An interesting bit of information nevertheless
