I posted the question because I read a topic about a new member, Lady Starlight, where Booster told that she had got a nice avatar. That means that Booster can see it but not me so I thought it was an internet explorer config problem (I'm a newbie, you know?)And i'm not able to see it yet. I could see before some avatars that I'm not able to see now, as Maria's or Fingers' for example, so my question still remains without response. Back to top

dkaycom Group: Members Posts: 443 Joined: Jan. 2002 Posted: Sep. 29 2003, 16:31 well, @ Lady Starlight's case it may be 'cause of the fact that the pic she did take ( http://www.geocities.com/silngham/autumn.jpg ) has a size of 202x192 pixels, while the allowed size here is @ (Maximum Width = 64 pixels | Maximum Height = 128 pixels), possibly the re-sizing doesn't work too well. another reason could be that geocities doesn't allow this kind of "deep-links". @ Fingers I get a "file not found"-message when tryin to access the avatar ( http://www.fingerbowl.co.uk/images/fingers.gif ) . The reinstall...(before someone starts shouting on me) I think you might want to do this because if you messed up some config, you might get it back to defaults by this (or maybe there is also a load defaults option?!?). So I just hope this can help...if not feel free to ask dkaycom: heh...I see, moving to different board (reasonstation.net, nd4spdworld.com << wtf? It just looks cool. Talking of problems with avatars, a few weeks ago I couldn't see my own avatar, which was a bit strange. Sometimes a little connection failure makes some avatars disappear, but they come back eventually. My original intention was to take a picture of a cute 8-year-old Lisa everyone knows and loves/hates as my avatar, but I couldn't find any that was small enough to fit the size limit. So, I took that one, instead - she's older than usual, but it still looks really beautiful.
