Not sure if this is the right section to put this, but if anyone using both AOL and Norton Antivirus is having trouble with their internet connection at the moment, use live update to update your Norton to fix it.

I've been getting false reports of a worm intrusion all morning, every time I tried to connect with AOL, but it seems to have been a bug in Norton, reported also by others, and the update has fixed it.

now that's really odd - i hate AOL and haven't used it for years. But tonight, our cat-sitter from a few doors up the road rang my doorbell telling me about her AOL/norton problem and asking me to fix it. I politely turned her away, but now I know the answer I can look like a PC god tomorow!

Cheers Alan!!

I suspect the whole thing was engineered just to give you that opportunity, Andy.

I've had the same problems recently with aol and Norton anti virus - been driving me mad :(  This morning got a warning message from Norton & had to change things ,re start pc.So glad this topic has been posted here, least I know I'm not alone with it.

Wonder which anti virus programme Mr Oldfield favours? he must have a good one for all the pc activity going on(music programmes, and everything else) vital nothing goes wrong,so whatever he's using must be tops I'd imagine :)

yes, but more importantly about the toilet roll: does the hanging piece of paper hang on the front side, or the back side of the roll!! (I heard that is very important in understanding peoples' character!! )

Well, we all know that the correct and proper way is for it hang down the FRONT of the roll, not the back.
