Does anyone know, where exactly were these 2 tracks originally (if they were) released?

Upd. Oops, a misprint appeared! I mean, "Sunlight Shining Through Cloud (radio edit)"

Hi there Kollokainen.

Welcome - have seen you lurking. :)

Can't help you with your question though - are you a collector ?

Hello Ulrich. I think I've already told you by e-mail that those tracks were never officially released in a physical format. They were very briefly available on a digital format when TMB came out, and now they aren't available any longer.

Sorry, had to forget it, due to a large amount of information came these very days.
Although, suppose, this info is useful, so it deserves a personal thread here, which now we can, at last, close. :)

Thank you!

@ Bob: they may be on some bootleg, I don't know about it. :) An official physical release of them doesn't exist.

@ nightspore: it's true, as I don't have those tracks anywhere and I have no idea where they may be found. How do you say this in English: laughs best who laughs last? :D

Both tracks can be found on "The Millennium Bell: Promo Mix" bootleg, for example. But it's not the only one.

@ Milamber: indeed that promo mix is very different from all of the versions I have... what quality is your Odd Bits boot? If it's something else than mp3, please PM me about it. :D

Ah, okay. Well, they're rare tracks anyway, so I'm interested in them as well. I've replied to your PM.

Are these promos in any way better than the finished versions? I have that demo version of TMB with the different tracks, and all I can say is that Mike new what he was doing when he changed things.

Actually, there are two demo version of this album. One is far from the released version (so-called "Early Mix"; contains "Excalibur"), and the second is much close to it (so-called "Pre-release version"), because it's planned to release. Both tracks of which we're talking are concerning this pre-release version.

You may learn of all the differences between pre-release and official versions here:
http://www.amarok.ommadawn.net/mike/discog/extras/raretracks2.htm (look at the "1999" section).

Also there's explained a reason for which it wasn't released.

Whoa, what's that voice doing in there - "you may be black you may be white...." Very interesting.   :O

So Mike decided to take it out - obviously not what he was intending. :)

Perhaps he stopped looking at the traffic light and noticed the zebra crossing! (or are they pelican crossings in the UK?)
