...and still keep listening the bloody album again and again. And not getting tired of it. That's the watermark of the great Oldfield albums: you could listen to them dozens and dozens of times and not becoming tired of them.

With all its flaws, in my opinion, this album is one of the BIG ONES.

I am envious of you Yann.
It is almost three weeks since I visited several specialist music stores in the centre of the city, only to find that no one had any copies to sell.
Having then placed an order almost three weeks ago, I was yesterday advised that the distributors here in Australia are having trouble supplying the demand.

Addendum:
Four weeks it took to get a new release album back into the shops on order. Listening with interest.

I didn't like the album after the very first listening (found too harsh). I decided to listen to it once more just to see if I would feel the same way again but it started growing on me, slowly at first but then more and more. Since I got the album over a month ago, I hardly listened to anything else. I find Return to Ommadawn a beautiful, haunting, emotionally wild piece of music that tires me out and yet is incredibly uplifting and rewarding every time. It's very hard to describe the feeling but in my opinion, this is one of the best albums that Mike has composed.
