I made these a while back and in MP3 so the quality is *very* bad. I like the way all the tunes work together, though. Especially 5:42 and 7:35 on 'tbmedley' and 3:13 on 'tubularxmedley'.

OLD LINKS REMOVED, SEE NEW LINKS BELOW

'Tbmedley' is basically what it says. A medley of all the Tubular Bells Introduction themes (Sentinel, Secrets, Introduction, Early Stages Sentinel, and parts of TMB and no TB2003...wasn't out when I made this). It starts out playing the original 73 TB and turns into Early Stages and then Sentinel and Secrets then later on it mixes them all together and then it plays Far Above The Clouds and the solo starts but when it starts it plays Sentinel at the same time. It really mixes well. Gives FATC a completely different feeling. And then it turns in the last parts of TMB shortened a bit.

'TubularXMedley' starts out playing the opening piano on Sentinel and the rest of the song basically is Tubular X but with Sentinel stuff going on. Like the voices and the echo-y organ chord. And then when the tune goes for a break it plays some Secrets guitars and then really smashes into the TBX theme again with Sentinel mixed in the background. Really works kool together....yeah.

Been quite active lately, haven't I? :)

PS- @Ancient: These are very old. Don't be too critical, please :). Some parts are boring and some parts don't work at all and some sound like crap but at those time places in the song I mentioned above are the coolest parts I like. Thx.

You know what? I'll try a positive post for a change!  :D

Tbmedley: from the compositional point of view, you prove that the tubular theme's mix well together. Especially the transition at 3:30 between TBII and I sounds very appropriate. And the idea at 5:45 of mixing them down and the same time is not bad. The climaxes at 7:29 and 8:39 have got a lot of attention, haven't they? They really sound like the best things in your track.

Tubularxmedley: even more interesting than your Tbmedley. Yes, here we're hearing the man who mixed down TLII! After the first minute it gets really neat. I compared with the original TBX, and I noticed you gave the drums a little boost. Works well, I think, and improves the original! And the sentinel rearing its head, does his job at some places indeed, especially the cool vocals at 3:16.

Happy?

Yes, you are. Because of you and Booster posting so many tracks I feel a bit slow and lazy!  :D  When I'll get my equipment, that should change.

Anyway, nice job.

Hehehe thanks for the kind words, Ancient. But don't feel pressured. I merely stated that I didn't want any comments on the quality or the boring parts. Be positive/negative if you want. Don't let me stop you there...I'm just saying that some of the transitions and stuff and pretty much everything that sounds bad that you'd notice, chances are I'm aware of them :).

Well, it was an experience doing positive,  but doing negative is much more fun. ;)
May I ask you what you used for mixing this?

LOL

As for what I used mixing. Just an audio editor called Goldwave is all.

You made me curious to your work on the TBMedley.

Can it somehow be downloaded, because the links don't work anymore.

Thanks, I got them.

Impressive. Like them. Wish I could make something like that, myself
:/ (although I'm no musician at all).

Thanks

MusicallyInspired, I'd really like to listen to these medleys, but, unfortunately, the links expired. Could you renew it :)?
