This has nothing to do with Mike but I just loved this little quote I heard on tele the other night.

It was during Australias Big Brother when the favourite to win because he is so polite and quiet, Tim, became frustrated with fellow housemate Rita who talks incessantly and interrupts constantly and does not listen to what you have to say.

He said, "Trying to talk to Rita is like throwing fairy floss into the surf!"

Just love it.

My favourite quote has always been my signature but this one is it for me at the moment.

And YOU???!!!

Feel free to include any favourite quotes from Mike.

Tracy.

Quote
Brighter days, on a distant shore
You realized it's steep, to the top
Never fight, a never win reality
A million colours to a lie, that will fade

First one is from Ernesto vs Bastian - The Dark Side of The Moon...
Million colours to a lie, that will fade...
Lies always fade!

Quote
She smells of the sun
And she’s constantly saying
That’s it’s all right,
Because lies sound so nice.

From BT - Satellite ... Lies can be nice...but hey...they always fade to grey :-/

Quote
it's not the end that I fear with each breath, it's life that scares me to death!

From Rise Against - Rumours of My Demise Have been Greatly Exaggerated

hopefully I can post quotes from song lyrics, huh? :)
well these are my faves...

Mine is,and it fits perfectly with what I think about people:

I like "time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana" I think it was someone's signature on here a while back, and I've never forgotten it.

I also like "consistency is the hobgoblin of smallmindedness" and "creativity arises from living on the edge of chaos" as well as "All are lunatics, but he who can analyse his delusion is called a philosopher".

I'm afraid not many of mine are all that serious. There's my signature of couse, which comes from the comedy series Red Dwarf. Some more are:

"I'm only paranoid because everyone is against me" - Frank Burns from MASH

Some here from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, one of my very favourite movies. I copied these from imdb.com

[Clementine and Joel have broken into an empty house on the Montauk beach]
Joel: I think we should go.
Clementine: No, it's our house! Just tonight...
[she looks at an envelope on the counter]
Clementine: ...we're David and Ruth Laskin. Which one do you want to be? I'd like to be Ruth, but I can be flexible.

Joel: [narration as Clementine acknowledges him by raising her coffee mug] Why do I fall in love with every woman I see who shows me the least bit of attention?

Here's one from a classmate of mine, at the end of a university lecture.

Lecturer: Any questions?
Classmate: Can we go home now?

I don't know why, but that really cracked me up.

I'm sure there are heaps more that I've forgot.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.

Be grateful for luck.Pay the thunder no mind - listen to the birds. And don't hate nobody.

Jealousy is the only vice that gives no pleasure.

If I were two - faced, would I be wearing this one?
(Abraham Lincoln)

The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible (Arthur C.Clarke)

and finaly,a good old Irish blessing:May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past. :)
