Hi People,

Just thought I would post a message to say hi. I am from New Zealand here where NO ONE knows who Mike Oldfield is. It is my first time in here and I am a little intimidated I guess! I am surrounded by very knowledgable MO fans! I suppose I have been a fan my whole life, because my Dad is a huge fan. I grew up listening to it, so now it has rubbed off on me. So once again, thanks for listening to me bore you and I hope to make some more contribution in the future!

Chrissy xXx  :D

;) Hi, vell, I am in NZ & not over the hill yet !  I like Oldfield's music- especially the 90's stuff. He doesn't get much exposure over here- I suppose you need to dig deep into those specialist stores.  :p

You may not have many MO fans but at least you can all go and see where all the wonderfull scenery and places that the recent 'Lord of the rings' trilogy films were made.

Pity its half way round the world for me.

Is it true the location of 'Hobbition' will become a theme park?

I feel the music of the film is superb and goes well with the visuals. The 'Enya' track at the end was Brill.

Gives us the same atmosphere, effect and emotions, that MO music delivers.

Cheers MO fan :D

:O I hadn't heard that Hobbiton may become a Theme Park. The location for that set was near a town called Cambridge in the Waikato region, which isn't that far from NZ's biggest city Auckland, so it could prove popular for city slickers & tourists heading south

Thats interesting, Bingo.

I am a great fan of 'Lord of the rings' and have just bought the special edition 'Fellowship' CD which I note gives the locations of the actual areas in NZ. with respect to the film locations.

If the next two movies are of such a high standard, I will save up my cash and come visiting.

Cheers MO fan  :)

Well I just saw the Lord of the rings 'Two towers' film and all I can say is brilliant,  it just keeps getting better.

Can't wait to see the final film.

Your tourism in N.Z. must be going up due to all of this.

Cheers MO fan :D
