Music of the Spheres is a load of balls! (Well rounded and great to jump into and be immersed in) :-)

EDIT: This is a compliment if you were wondering - it's supposed to be a play on words (and i'm referring to the kind of balls in a kids play area which are poured into a large area for kids to cover themselves with and enjoy).

Although I had the chance to listen to the album in full,I do prefer to comment about it later, when the album is released.

There's no electronic instrument on the record whatsoever.
There are some percussion things, but they are real and great sounding  :)

Same for me Tubularman - the best since TB3 - although it keeps getting better and better with each listen and may even outshine TB3 for me.

It's wonderful to listen to laying flat on your back on the bed with your eyes closed and allowing the music to carry you into fantastic realms :-)

Yes Jesse, now Aurora is one of my favourites of all time by Mike. I've made a great music video of it but I will wait until the official release to make it available

Harmonia Mundi is especially beautiful, very peaceful and played on the acoustic guitar with a lot of heart. Yes, definitively the best since TSODE, even easily surpasses TB3.

In my opinion, the first 4 tracks of this album are up there with the best Mike has ever done, the tracks just flow effortlessly.  At the moment silhouette is my favourite track, the bit at the end of the track with Mike on his classical Guitar sounding like a Harp is superb, then it just flows into Shabda.   :D

I also noticed that on the leak version played on my system, next to the obvious clipping at times, the brass can sound a bit too bright/harsh/painful at high volumes. Though that can be just my system; I know I have a bit overly active tweeters when playing at loud volume. So no comment on that if it's the same in the real CD version, in that case it's just my system which could use sweeter tweeters. As long as the clipping is gone. One Californication is enough.  :/  :D

I've heard the album quite a few times now, and I start to like more parts of it and the parts I liked already, I like even better now. This is a lovely album, really easy to listen to and beautiful at times. Most of it can't move me like some parts of Ommadawn or Amarok can to name 2, but these masterpieces do not make MOTS anything less than a gently flowing, enchanting, beautiful album. And it has some climaxes or uplifting pieces which are almost -almost- on the level of the climaxes in the 2 mentioned albums.

edit: skipping a bit through the album, I must revise this post a bit. Some parts ARE on the same level as his best works, maybe not with the best parts of his best works though :).

I have now listened to the new album 3 times and it is simply the best since Incantations. A brilliant piece with beautiful parts and so gorgeous in places. Truly remarkable and can't wait to hear live with a big symphony orchestra. I will def buy the album for real as I have all others since 1973.
For me the best track is On My Heart but I love all of it from beginning to end.
Mike you have created a great piece of music whic I think will capture people's imagination in the way that Tubular Bells did.

I have only heard "On My Heart", and have analysed the lyrics for it. For all of Hayley's previous pieces of work, I like this the most. To be honest, I've not been a fan of her earlier work, but this one track stands out as something very listenable to me.

Like Tati, I prefer to wait until release to hear it all. In some ways I wish I hadn't heard On My Heart, but it is a good track.

I'll be interested to see if these really are the final versions for CD issue.

Everyone's interpretation is different, and everyone has a right to that opinion. There is no "right" one, I am adding this post to communicate my thoughts to share them with like-minded souls who will be able to comment in good nature.
