Even more excited now -

Every track on the album is exclusive, and has been written especially for the project.

And many other fave artistes on this project, Yusuf Islam etc

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

I'll keep an eye on Usenet for it; usually things crop up there quite a while before they appear anywhere else. Music of the Spheres, for example, was available there at least a month before its official release. The track is definitely called "Song for Survival", is it?

Yes it is.

I haven't used Usenet but MOTS was available on most torrent sites maybe five or six months earlier. Of course this is a totally different album, though. Anyway, I haven't found it anywhere so why not look for it on Usenet. I'll buy the track from itunes anyway but wouldn't want to wait any longer.

It reminds me of TSODE b-sides.

I like the guitar, but the synthie percussion is awful, as usual with Mike.  :/

Cool - that TSODE reference wasn't in your original post.  :D

What do your post think of electronic percussion?

I've updated my post after I noticed better the TSODE influence on it.

Maybe I'm wrong(and I'm sure I'm going to be),but it seems to me to be an unused track from the past and Mike did a good revamp on it,the electronic percussion sounds sound so familiar to me from somewhere.

That guitar sound is sooo the red Fender Strat he has sold last year, dunno if there's another electric guitar that can sound like that.

Let's hope to hear anything from Mike himself about this particular track!

Sounds more like Voyager than TSODE to my ears. Well, the 2 albums are from 94 and 96, pretty close (not the same quality though).

I think it is an old track, because this electric guitar seems to be....the red Fender....

Does anyone agree with me?

It depends on your criteria. I personally find both equally enjoyable.

Yes ..this is something i guess he has always done ! ...like all the musicians do , in fact . I have a lot of work in progress on my sequencer , not finished yet and that i'll never finish !

He has surely created tracks , melodies that he has never used in his albums but that he surely hasn't put them in the trash ! and now he can used these tracks he need .

Off topic :  Happy ?  :)  Postman is there at home with my new humble guit. Cort Zenox Z22 Walnut Satin and Multieffect Korg AX 5 G ......I have to go .....

Well maybe Mike went out and bought a new Fender Strat I don`t know?I`m not too good at picking up on the different guitars Mike uses except maybe the Gibson. But that said I agree it does sound like something that could have appeared on Voyager via TSODE.The melody is`nt a million miles away from Flowers Of The Forest for instance.Whilst that little bass/bass drum shuffle motif is more or less identical to the transition section of In The Beginning/Let There Be Light.

New or old.And once you get used to the electronic percussion I found. This is a wonderful piece of music. It`s the best 79 pence I`m gonna` spend this week put it that way.I could be wrong but I`m still inclined to think this is a completely new piece. The track is given a joint compositional credit between Mike and the Anuta Tribe for a start. The melody Mike plays on the guitar in the first section of the track is the same as the melody sung by the tribe in the middle section.I mean despite it`s kind of Celtic leanings is it a "tribal melody" that`s what I`m wondering?I mean I could be way off I don`t know,I`m just going off that and some of the synopsis given for the album itself.

I`ve just noticed that a certain Molly has left a message on The Amazon/Facebook page that the album is now available from itunes.Which is kind of spooky in a way because I`m also reminded here of a track from the QE2 album.More of the closing track to side one though rather than the album itself.   ;) Abba`s Arrival anyone?
