Well, then 'Music from the Motorcycles' would be a more appropriate title. ;)

Well, Mike plays acoustic pretty well  :D  so good news there.

Just a few thoughts, Jake running around the studio, my youngest is about the same age I wonder if I could arrange a play day? And what was that huge black beast? Surely not a dog, a shaggy small horse perhaps?

Seriuosly though, Mike seems to be plugging away at so many media sources right now, all looking good for a big release when the new album is ready.

Spherical Bells are ringing in October! Short but good video showing Mike where his heart is - home, family and bikes (plus music of course).

The excitment is building, even Mike seems more excited about this than any other recent album, i guess that is because he is pushing himself a bit, trying something new.And like he said, it will be the first Oldfield album without electric guitars!!!

Love the way it cuts away at 2:45 just before that monstrous black thing ate the cameraman. Must have found another cameraman pretty quickly!

Anyone know what Mike calls his "dog"? Fido doesn't seem quite right for such a brute.

A friend of ours has two similar sized dogs. Lovely animals but what a lot of drool they produce!

Cool interview, nice footage, only poorly recorded and edited (ok, I'll stop jabbering about this, someday maybe). ;)

Is it possible to make this stream video downloadable? Can somebody be some help! Thanks very much!

Can I just go on about how much I love this video?

1. It's conducted in full sun, so Mike's eyes are not visible. (They looked very weird in the Richard & Judy Or Whatever It Was video.)
2. The dog! The beast! The horse! etc.
3. MOTORBIKES!!!1!!
4. Recording next month!!!

But then, no electric guitar? Hmmm.

Still, I'm excited. Very much. Positively.

I think the big black beastie is a Newfoundland. Any others suggestions?

I hope the recording session at Abbey Road goes smoothly. Recording with an orchestra can be fraught with problems. Presumably MotS must be fully written and orchestrated (with the assistance of Karl Jenkins? - it would be interesting to hear more about this collaboration - I guess we will do in due course)

I wonder when Mike started writing this symphonic piece. My guess it's been a long gestation and with work in progress alongside other recent albums.(TB2003 and L+S).

Roll on October.

Although I do love Mike playing electric guitars,I personally don't imagine this classical album with them.Classical pieces are classical pieces, not a rock symphony like Rick Wakeman did on Journey to The Centre of the Earth!

I'm sure Mike can rock on classical and spanish guitar...go Mike  ;)

So this forum is NOT about reviews of sandwich?

ohhhh my mistake - I would have loved to pay a tribute to a ham and cheese sandwich with mustard.

Again I´m deeply sorry, it took me 6 weeks to figure out that there  is no cheese in here ... I´ll be off then.
Sorry for any inconveniences  my earlier posts about cheese have made... I didn´t understand the hunger you must have felt

Mike
