@ ProjectZ: buy a 1970s turntable like mine. There are some cheap ones out there, and they sound much better than today's hypertechnological players. :)

About the £60 figure: well, I've recently bought the Kraftwerk Catalogue box on eBay for £185 - and as far as I know the lowest price ever mentioned for that (on a book) was £400. So I think that spending £60 for something that's inevitably going to become as rare as that box (which was never officially released, unlike this) is not only fitting, suitable or reasonable - it's perfect. ;)

Kraftwerk catalogue box? I thought that was never released? (if we're talking about the same; I did understand there should have been a rerelease of all their albums remastered)

@ revster: which box set? Kraftwerk's or Mike's? Since Kraftwerk's was never released (see below) I assume you're talking about Mike's. May I have an URL, please?

@ Blue Dolphin: indeed it was never officially released. The box I got on eBay is one of the 1000 promotional copies of a box containing, as you say, remastered versions of Kraftwerk's eight EMI albums. It is still to be released officially because the band members are still arguing about it.

Querying whether the 500 just refers to how many have been signed and numbered and sold through the site, and if they're going to do up more than that to be sold through the usual outlets.

UKP60, hmm...

I'm a bit blase about vinyl, though I did get the Radiohead In Rainbows thing with the vinyl and the extra CD which was about USD50 or however much that was.

So UKP60's not toooo bad I guess.

Just a question, Second House programme is listed in Elements DVD release in 1976, but this Universal reedition says 3rd December 1973...  so until this day I didn't notice Virgin was a mess gathering info!!

Whoa, that's quick. I just looked about an hour ago and the original MikeOldfield.com was still there. ;)

Looks very cool and retro though! And a few rare pictures in the gallery, although that 1975 bells picture isn't from the 70's... looks like it was taken in the early 80's judging by Mike's hairdo!

Also love the master tapes box pictures!

Tubular Bells was first released in 1973 as one of the first records on Richard Branson's newly created Virgin Records.

The website is still under very heavy construction. You should try the player on the upper-left corner... it doesn't play TB but some other record.

It says on site "Click here to register your interest and we'll send you everything you need to make your order as soon as they are available" but there is no link to click on. Anyone else found a link? :/
