Released May 24th on WEA, "Guitars" is the enchanting new album from Mike Oldfield.
Mike continues to enhance his vast reputation for innovation and experimentation throughout the album's 10 atmospheric tracks. Highlights include the stripped down acoustic opener "Muse", the pulsating "Cochise, the rocking "Out Of Sight", the sinister "B Blues", and the powerful finale "From The Ashes".
Written and produced by Mike, the album was recorded at Roughwood Studios with engineering assistance from Ben Darlow. Mike performed all the guitar parts and once again embraced computer technology by using sequenced midi guitars and individual guitar samples to construct the layers of sounds.
Mike will be playing his first U.K. indoor dates for 6 years this summer as part of the 30 date "Then And Now" European Tour.
